View and Export Data

View data in the App

  1. Make sure the device and phone are connected to networks that can communicate with each other.
  2. Open the device's “Recording History” in the App.
  3. Select a recording to view the file list or download data.
  4. After the download is complete, spot-check the files on your phone or computer.

When the device is not connected to WiFi, the App can still read some status information over Bluetooth, but it cannot transfer large recording files over Bluetooth.

Export data from the SD card

  1. Stop the recording normally.
  2. Wait until the status light returns to solid green.
  3. Shut down the device normally.
  4. Remove the SD card and connect it to a computer.
  5. Copy the complete session folder to the computer. Do not copy only one of the video streams.

Each recording has a separate folder, usually named using the recording time.

What the files contain

  • camera_*.mp4: Video from each camera.
  • camera_*_timestamps.csv: Timestamps aligned with the frames of the corresponding video.
  • audio.wav: Multichannel audio.
  • imu.csv: Accelerometer and gyroscope data.
  • metadata.json: Device information, recording status, statistics, and integrity check results.

Before deleting data

  • Confirm that the copy completed without errors.
  • On the destination computer, open the beginning and end of the videos and listen to a sample of the audio.
  • Preserve the complete folder structure and original file names.
  • Keep at least two copies of important data on different storage media.
