Start and Stop Recording
Before you start
Confirm the following:
- The status light is solid green.
- An SD card is installed.
- The App shows that the SD card is available.
- The battery has enough charge and the lenses are unobstructed.
- No firmware update or live preview is in progress.
Start recording
Select “Start Recording” in the App, or press the recording button once.
The device first enters the warm-up stage, with the blue light flashing rapidly. All four cameras must finish starting, discard unstable initial images, and reach a stable state at the same time. Actual saving begins only after the blue light becomes solid.
:::tip Important recordings Secure the device in position before triggering the recording, and allow time for it to prepare. Wait until the blue light is solid before performing a synchronization action or entering the recording area. :::
While recording
- Keep the device connected to a stable power supply.
- Do not remove the SD card.
- Do not block heat-dissipation areas.
- Live preview pauses during recording. This is normal behavior that protects device resources.
Stop recording
Press the recording button again, or select “Stop Recording” in the App.
The device plays a notification sound and enters the finalization stage. While the green light is flashing rapidly, the video indexes and diagnostic information are still being written. Wait until the light is solid green before shutting down the device or moving the SD card.
If something goes wrong
If stopping takes noticeably longer than usual, do not disconnect power immediately. First check the device status in the App. If the device does not recover, note the indicator light behavior, the App message, the device serial number, and the approximate recording duration, then contact support.
